Sustainable Chemical Production and Handling through Responsible Practices

Three Research Collaboration Agreements (CRAs) have been signed between LESTARI UKM and Chemical Industries Council of Malaysia (CICM) on 26 April 2016 at Royal Chulan Damansara Hotel. LESTARI UKM was represented by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazlin Mokhtar (Deputy Vice Chancellor – Research and Innovation Affairs) and Prof. Dr.  Mohd Raihan Taha (Director of LESTARI). Meanwhile, CICM was represented by Datuk Dr. Abd Hapiz Abdullah (Chairman of CICM). These research collaborations are led by Dr. Lee Khai Ern (Research Fellow of LESTARI), aiming to study the adoption and implementation of Responsible Care Program, Product Stewardship and Corporate Social Responsibility in the chemical industries towards sustainable chemical production and handling.
