Our Profile

Established in April 2003, Makmal Bioserasi is a laboratory owned by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia under the Centre for Natural and Physical Laboratory Management UKM (ALAF-UKM). We are a biocompatibility and toxicity testing laboratory providing in vitro and in vivo testing services for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, supplements, agrochemicals, pesticides, industrial chemicals, cosmetics, food and biotechnology industries worldwide.

Makmal Bioserasi is a well equipped facility accredited with MS ISO/IEC 17025 :2017 and certified with OECD-Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliant. We are expert in conducting toxicity testing, and with over 1000 tests performed by competent, highly skilled personnel and toxicology experts, we deliver high quality data in accordance with international standards such as ISO, OECD and USP. Our data has been proven to be accepted by local and international regulators.

Makmal Bioserasi also supports the research and development (R&D) ecosystem by providing laboratory and equipment rental services, training, consultation, and customized testing to fit the researcher’s needs.
