Welcome to the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. This faculty has been established since 1972 and is among the oldest medical faculties in Malaysia. Since then, we have thrived tremendously and are now located in Kuala Lumpur Campus, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

This faculty provides several programs including bachelor’s degree , master’s degree , doctor of philosophy or clinical fellowship programs. Information about these programs are available on this website. You can always contact us for more information. We have a large network of alumni who are currently working either in the public sector or the private sector in Malaysia or abroad. Apart from local students, we would also like to welcome international students to join the programs in this faculty.

This medical faculty has a total of approximately 400 academic staff and  the majority of them have extensive teaching experience. Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is the only public university in Malaysia that has two teaching hospitals. Together with the medical faculty at the Kuala Lumpur Campus, Cheras are Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz and Hospital Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani (Hospital Pakar Kanak–Kanak UKM). These hospitals become the perfect “Living Labs” for the teaching, learning and clinical research for the students here.

The UKM Faculty of Medicine is committed to medical research. We have 9 research focus areas led by renowned experts. We have a variety of research laboratories suitable for masters or doctorate studies.
