BANGI, 20 February 2017 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) UKM continues to collaborate with institutions of higher education in Indonesia (IPTI) through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between UKM with Universitas Khairun and Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Dumai, Indonesia.
The collaboration, according to UKM Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dato’ Seri Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali, is intended to help enhance the quality of teaching by IPTI staff, and is in line with UKM’S role as a research university and its aspirations to be a world class university.
“In Malaysia, we have five research universities and UKM is one of the university that is listed as a Research University,” he said.
“On behalf of UKM, I feel proud as we are the preferred university or the university of choice by our partners from Indonesia,” he explained.
He hopes that the collaboration will continue in the future.
“We will increase the research collaboration among parties involved and hope that this cooperation can improve knowledge and ensure knowledge would benefit the community out there,” he added.
