AMPANG, 21 March 2017 – Education is the weapon to eradicate poverty.

A child must be taught and educated to ensure that they grow up to be wise and clever, especially in managing their finances, said Malaysian Second Finance Minister and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Mentor Minister, Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani.

He was speaking during the opening Do It Together Festival opening ceremony, organized by Kolej Tun Syed Nasir UKM in collaboration with several agencies that took place in the PPR Hiliran Ampang, recently.

He also advised UKM’s students to not to be afraid of learning new thing as well as being honest and sincere in pursing knowledge in order to get a good career which is in accordance with their qualifications.

Meanwhile, UKM Vice-Chancellor Prof. Datuk Noor Azlan Ghazali expressed his pride towards UKM students for their concern towards the needs of community.

Do It Together Festival showcases four programs which includes PPR Sihat, Big Heart, Symbiosis Jalanan and Daie Millennium.

Also present at the event were PPR Hiliran Ampang Chairman of Residents Association, Haji Ismail Mohamad and Tun Syed Nasir Residential College Principal, Associate Major (PA) Dr. Shazli Ezzat Hj Ghazali.
