200 UKM Students follow the entrepreneur programme Budding-PUMA

BANGI, 28 Dec 2017 – About 200 students of the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) who run the business entrepreneur and retail join the Budding-PUMA programme, collaboration with Centre for Entrepreneurship and SMEs Development (CESMED) and Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB).
Director of CESMED, Prof Datin Dr Shamshubaridah Ramlee said, the Budding-PUMA programme offered business financing between RM1,000 and RM10,000 for bumiputra students who want to do business.
“Among the businesses is health care, general trade, food truck, fashion and lifestyle, E-Commerce (online business), education, food and beverages and creative and lifestyle,” she said while delivering her speech at the Launched of Budding-PUMA Programme, at Council Room here, recently.
She said, besides the encourage bumiputera students involve in entrepreneurship, it will also provide an opportunity to expand business with financial assistance provided by the PUNB.
“I am confident that with the strong support and filling of various parties, participants of this program will not be returning with nothing, instead took home the spirit and new thinking,” she said.
