Education Tourism Module To Be Introduced at PPTC UKM

TASIK CHINI, 31 January 2017 – Tasik Chini Research Centre (PPTC), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) plans to introduce Education Tourism as one of the activities at the centre.
This is an initiative taken by UKM to attract public’s interest to visit the lake and learn about its’ uniqueness.
PPTC Director, Prof Dato’ Sri Dr Mushrifah Idris said that, education tourism is one of the core of PPTC.
Encompassing almost 600 ha, Tasik Chini serves to help conserve biodiversity and possesses unique attractions which has yet to be discovered by the public.
Hence, as a center which is committed in conducting scientific research and field works on various biological ground, PPTC aims to educate the public by making the PPTC a living laboratory, she said.
She added that, PPTC is also collaborating with the Orang Asli in promoting their culture.
