Enthusiastic Response To ASEAN Youth Entrepreneurial Summit UKM

BANGI, 17 April – The two-day ASEAN Youth Entrepreneurial Summit 2016 (AYES) attracted more than 600 higher education students from Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar and Singapore, held at The National University of Malaysia (UKM)
Hosted by the Aminuddin Baki Residential College Student Executive Council, the program focused on nurturing adolescents to be willing to take risks in order to become successful entrepreneurs.
Celebrated and talented entrepreneurs from South-East Asia like Dato’ Fazley Ya’akob, Tan Wen Dee, Rita Dato’ Sosilawati and Jonathan Yabut shared their experiences in business and gave motivational talks to those who plan to start their own enterprise after graduation.
The event was officiated by International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, who said youths play an important role in achieving successful development of the ASEAN community.
He added that 60 percent ASEAN’s population are youths and that they are the key to the region’s future.
