BANGI, 9 December 2016 – Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) recently restructured the faculty as an initiative to rebrand the faculty, highlight areas of expertise, strengthen research, focus on academic governance, strengthen human resource management and improved governance.

Chairman of the University Board Director (LPU), Tan Sri Ibrahim Saad said the restructuring is in line with the University’s desire to always be ahead.

“I believe that the restructuring process in challenging.

“However, with increased understanding and appreciation as well as close cooperation the idea of restructuring was well received,” he said while delivering his speech at the Official Launch of FST Restructuring FST and Recognition of Emeritus Professor, recently.

Meanwhile, at the same ceremony, UKM through FST gave recognition to the recipient of the title of FST Emeritus Professor, Prof Emeritus Dato’ Dr Laily Din.

Prof Emeritus Dato’ Dr Laily Din was among the first few alumni and academician who worked in UKM.
