BANGI, 8 May 2017 -Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) students need to understand the purpose of their study at the university so that they are more motivated in their studies and eager to gain knowledge in the future, said Director of Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, Datuk Wira Wan Mohd Nor Ibrahim.

He said that the students need to understand the purpose of their study was not to only gain the knowledge, but it is also to sharpen their minds.

“For example, we make experiments in the laboratory, and the process helps to sharpen your thinking to be brilliant,” he explained.

Meanwhile, UKM Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Students and Alumni Affairs, Prof Dato’ Noor Aziah Mohd Awal said UKM had conducted many programs involving alumni because it is one of the ways to connect alumni and UKM students.
