BANGI, 19 April 2017 – Academicians must have a good sense of responsibility as well as the spirit and passion towards their career as an educator.

Open University Malaysia (OUM) Senior Advisor, Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Dr Anuwar Ali said as an educator, lecturers or professors have a high sense of responsibility because they are the role model for students.

“In addition, we must often ask ourselves whether we produce good lawyers, doctors or accountants. That’s the way we can reflect on what we have taught, if it is good or bad,” he said.

He said as a role model to students, each academician should try to get along with students and share with them the value of teamwork.

Tan Sri Dr Anuwar Ali was speaking at The Faculty of Law’s Academic Talk titled Academic Excellence, recently.

Also present were UKM Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dato’ Seri Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali and Faculty of Law Dean, Prof Dr Zinatul Ashiqin Zainol.
