Prestigious Alumni Dinner with UKM Chancellor

BANGI, 12 Dec 2017 – More than 600 Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) alumni, who graduated between 1973 and 2017, gathered at the Majlis Santapan Diraja Alumni UKM 2017, held at Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Razak (DECTAR), recently.
UKM Chancellor, Negeri Sembilan Yang Di Pertuan Negeri, HRH Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir and Tuanku Aishah Rohani Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud graced the ceremony.
UKM Vice-Chancellor, Prof Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali in his speech said that alumni is an important agenda for the University.
“The University plans to build a good partnership and maintain networks with alumni. We look forward to hear your ideas, advices and useful feedback, which I believe would greatly contribute to the development of UKM.
“We also welcome alumni who wish to reach out to students through the sharing of knowledge and experience,” he added.
The ceremony also saw the official launch of UKM Alumni Council and the handing over of donations to the Alumni Fund.
UKM Pro Chancellors, YAM Tunku Laxamana Tunku Dato’ Seri Utama Naqiyuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar and Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid was also present at the ceremony.
Among the distinguished alumni present were Malaysia’s Minister of Transport, Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai, Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences President, who is also the President of the Alumni Council, Prof. Dato ‘ Dr. Mohamad Abdul Razak.
