The management is always open to new ideas to be implemented on the campus of the university, said Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs) Prof Datuk Dr Ir Riza Atiq Abdullah OK Rahmat, when opening the 20th KIK Convention, here on 13 January.
He said the projects carried out by KIK not only were able to streamline functions of departments, but in fact also able to help UKM strengthen trust among stakeholders for more innovative services.
“The UKM management also hopes KIK can help improve the management in key issues such as security, maintenance of infrastructure – and at the HCTM – issues related to waiting times and long discharge times of patients as well as parking facilities, which are issues that can be implemented as pilot projects.
“I am confident that with the expertise and experience of the members of KIK, they will be able to work out creative ideas to resolve key issues which can provide a significant impact to stakeholders and the UKM community,” he explained.
