Talented Human Resource Important for National Development

BANGI, 27 September 2016 – Talent in human resources is a key factor in creating continuous development for the country, said UKM Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic and International Affairs Prof Dato’ Ir Dr Riza Atiq Abdullah OK Rahmat.
He said, people who are talented and well-educated are essential in contributing ideas to develop the country.
Prof. Riza Atiq was speaking at the International Association of Talent Development Conference (IATD), held at the PERMATAPintar Gifted Centre UKM, recently.
Themed Igniting Muslim Talent, the conference is a suitable platform for members of Muslim countries to learn and share experiences.
He also hoped that this conference will enhance the collaboration between Muslim countries, especially in looking for talented students and exchanging collective ideas.
Also at the conference were PERMATApintar UKM Director, Prof Dato’ Dr Noriah Mohd Ishak, PERMATApintar UKM Deputy Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Arif Ismail and President of IATD, Prof Dr Dawood Al-Hidabi.
The conference involved 100 local and international participants which include Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Iraq and Qatar with 50 working paper presented during the two-day conference.
