The Cooperation Of Scientists Of Three Countries’ Need To Be Intensified

BANGI, 13 October 2016 – Cooperation between researchers from Malaysia, Thailand and Japan needs to be intensified in order to produce future technocrats – important manpower for the country’s development.

UKM Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Noor Azlan Ghazali said that research based on science and technology would also be able to attract international students to further their studies in UKM, as well as help create centres of excellence which produces all rounded and competitive graduates.

“I am confident that each and every participant has a lot of great ideas and suggestions which should be able to translate the needs of current quests for research development in the area of science, technology and engineering,” he said during the opening ceremony of Malaysia-Thailand and Japan International Conference in UKM, recently.

The conference was organised by Polimer Research Centre, Faculty of Science and Technolgy (FST), with “Nurturing Science and Technology for Sustainable Developments” as its theme.

Also present at the opening ceremony were FST Dean Prof Dr Shahrim Ahmad.
