UKM-Awqaf Holdings To Collaborate in Education And Research Areas

BANGI, 11 May 2017 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) through the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSK) signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Awqaf Holdings Berhad to establish a cooperation in education and research.
FSSK Dean, Prof Dr Mohd Fuad Mat Jali said the cooperation was to create a platform that can be a medium for the students to share knowledge related to social problems.
“The forum that was conducted today is one of the first steps in our cooperation with Awqaf in sharing knowledge about the social issues between experts and students,” he said in his opening speech at the ‘Sex Education Forum: Yay or Nay?’ which took place recently.
Meanwhile, Awqaf Holdings Berhad Deputy Chairman who is also FSSK’s Adjunct Professor Mohammad Sahar Mat Din said that the partnership forged has helped to establish a close relationship between UKM and Awqaf.
ZuriatCARE Awqaf Holdings is a company with a Waqf resource which aims to address social problems by giving charity to abandoned babies and children.
