UKM hosts to Students from 10 Countries in Mobility Program

BANGI, July 27, 2016 – More than 60 students from 10 countries will be joining the Global Student Mobility Partnership programme and UKM Global Leadership which will be held from July 27 to August 19, 2016.
With the theme Building Bridges for International Understanding and Friendship, students can choose either two participate in the Indigenous Communities of Malaysia (ICM) or Sustainability of Tropical Heritage (STH).
The ICM introduces students to the unique cultures of the various different communities in Malaysia, while STH gives an exposures about the natural environment of Malaysia and observe the integrated conservation efforts for sustainability and eco-tourism.
The programme will also be exploring issues of leadership and multiculturalism in the globalisation era.
It will be featuring a variety of activities such as lectures, discussion, and students’ leadership project and provide the students an opportunity to explore the Malaysian culture.
In a three week period, they will participate in field works over the Malaysia include Royal Belum Rainforest, Carey Island, Sarawak Culture Forest, Langkawi Island, Denum Valley and Bohey Dulang Island.
The participants consist of students from Mexico, South Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, Bangladesh and Malaysia.
