UKM inks MoU with BOKU

BANGI, 14 February 2020 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna, Austria continuing and sustaining the collaboration through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand educational and research activities between these two institutions.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation Affair) of UKM, Prof Dato’ Ir Dr Abdul Wahab Mohamad said, the collaboration has undertaken exchange of postgraduate students for the duration of one semester for Master study, 10 months for PhD students’ attachment and one month of staff attachment.
“The field that involves in the students and staffs exchange is the Food Security and Climate Change (MsFSCC) via Erasmus Mundus ALFABET,” he said at Conference Room, Faculty of Science and Technology, UKM recently.
He also believed by continuing this MoU, UKM-BOKU will initiate further activities such as mobility, research and also depth studies in the related field.
“I pray that this MoU will lead to an excellent commitment and allow us to work closely towards achieving common goals, pursuing expertise, knowledge and latest imaging technology.”
The Vice-Rector for Finances from BOKU, Magister Andrea Reithmayer in her speech hoped, collaboration will strengthen join publication between both institutions especially in high impact journal.
The MoU signing ceremony has witnessed that both Universities were represented by Prof Dato’ Ir Dr Abdul Wahab Mohamad and Magister Andrea Reithmayer.
The ceremony was also attended by delegates from BOKU and also researchers from UKM.
