UKM – MaGIC Cooperate to Promote Social Business

BANGI, 22 August 2016 – The National University of Malaysia (UKM) through the Faculty of Economics’ Yunus Social Business Centre will be collaborating with Malaysian Global Innovation Creativity Centre (MaGIC) to promote social businesses in Malaysia.
UKM Vice-Chancellor Prof. Datuk Dr. Noor Azlan Ghazali said the cooperation will see UKM and MaGIC sharing their expertise and research findings to enhance entrepreneurial and social business activities in Malaysia.
Prof. Dr. Noor Azlan was speaking at the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Ceremony between UKM and MaGIC, recently.
He said the MoU is part of UKM’s strategy in strengthening partnerships and strategic engagement with external agencies.
He hopes that the collaboration will also help to generate awareness on the various job scopes, posts and positions available in the social entrepreneurship industry.
Prof Noor Azlan signed the MoU on behalf UKM, while MaGIC was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Ashran Datuk Ghazi.
Ashran in his speech said that social entrepreneurship is as important industry that helps produce creative entrepreneurs which can fulfil the needs of today’s marketing.
“I am proud because MaGIC is collaborating with UKM to encourage social entrepreneurship in Malaysia,” he said.
