UKM Produces Holistic and Balanced Students

BANGI, 2 May 2017 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) has always encouraged and supported any initiatives that can produce students who are holistic and balanced.
Centre for Student Development and Alumni Relations Director, Assoc Prof Dr Roslee Rajikan said UKM has constantly supported and organised many educational programme, in line with the Malaysian Higher Education Blueprint, to produce holistic, balanced and expert in other areas,
“This programme provides an opportunity for students to enhance their skills, especially in a field which is rather serious; nuclear science,” he said while delivering his speech at the Varsity Debate Nuclear 2017, here recently.
He said although almost all of the students who competed were from different academic backgrounds, they were able to argue well.
The program aims to gather students from different universities in a platform to debate nuclear issue and raise awareness about the importance of nuclear science and technology that are strategic for the development of the country.
Also present at the program were Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation, Dr Mohd Zamzam Jaafar and President of the Association of Nuclear Malaysia, Assoc Prof Dr Abdul Aziz Mohamed.
