UKM soon will be Training Center for Smart State Selangor.

BANGI, 2 March 2020 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) will be the Training Center for Smart State Selangor which will be launched at any time this year said the Selangor Chief Minister, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He also said, UKM is selected as University plays an important role in developing the nation.
“The Selangor state government has also allocated RM50 million to design and accelerate the process of establishing a Smart State so that it can be completed by 2025 based on the master plan that way set in 2016,” he said.
He said this while delivering a speech at the Program Temu Rapat dan Makan Malam Sempena Jelajah Maju with Chief Minister of Selangor, here at Sutera Hall, Ibu Zain College in UKM.
In his speech, Dato’ Seri Amirudin also explained that the Selangor state government is a state that soon will be declared as the Smart State by 2025.
“Smart State is a framework of life with the efforts of the state government in building a good infrastructure for the convenience of the people in the future,” he said.
UKM is the first University for siri Jelajah Maju bersama Menteri Besar Selangor for 2020 as it continues the exploration which was held last year at the University of Selangor (Unisel) and the University of Technology Mara (UiTM) campus of Puncak Alam.
During the dialogue session, he also shared on the latest developments related to the state of Selangor and answered some questions from the students.
He even advised the students about university life are one of the best platforms for them to create their path for future and the students must explore their potential to face challenges that might come ahead.
The siri of Jelajah Maju was held to strengthen relations between the Chief Minister of Selangor and the UKM students and also to expose and promote the agenda of Smart State Selangor.
