NEGERI SEMBILAN, 31 January 2017 – UKM Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dato’ Seri Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali was awarded the Darjah Seri Setia Negeri Sembilan (SSNS) Yang Amat Cemerlang which carries the Dato’ Seri title, in conjunction with the 69^th birthday of the Negeri Sembilan Yang diPertuan Besar, DYMM Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, recently.

Six other UKM academicians also received awards from Tuanku Muhriz.

They are Director of Institute of Malaysia and International Studies (IKMAS), Prof Dato’ Dr Rashila Ramli, Prof Dato’ Dr Ibrahim Jantan (Faculty of Pharmacy) and Prof Madya Dato’ Dr Hanafiah Harunarashid (Head of UKM Advance Surgical Skill Centre) who was awarded the Darjah Setia Bakti Negeri Sembilan (DBNS), which carries the title Dato’.

In addition, Dato’ Dr Wan Rahiza Wan Mat from Faculty of Medicine received Darjah Setia Tuanku Muhriz yang Amat Gemilang (DSTM), which also carries the title Dato’.

Meanwhile, Prof Madya Dato’ Dr Razman Jarmin, Head of Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, UKM Medical Centre was awarded the Darjah Dato’ Setia DiRaja Kedah in conjunction with the 89^th birthday of the Sultan Kedah, which also carries the title Dato’.

Prof Madya Dato’ Dr Jegan Thanabalan, also from the Faculty of Medicine, meanwhile, received the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang in conjunction of the 85^th birthday of the Sultan of Pahang.
