BANGI, 9 May 2017 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) through its University Community Transformation Centre (UCTC) established Anjung Santai UKM4BANGI at KipMall Shopping Complex with an aim to inculcate the love of knowledge among the community in Bangi.
UKM Deputy Vice Chancellor of Industry and Community Partnership, Prof Dato’ Dr Imran Ho Abdullah said the Anjung Santai UKM4BANGI project was designed to benefit the community in Bangi.
“Besides providing space for relaxed reading at a shopping centre, the objective of the project is also to encourage a culture of love knowledge through reading and other learning medium.
“I hope that this project can enhance the relationship between UKM and the local community,” he said while delivering his speech at the programme.
He said the project is a smart partnership between UKM, KipMall, Selangor State Public Library and book publishers.
