UKM’s ROTU squad once again won the best march award

BANGI, 17 June, 2010 – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s ROTU squad has once again been adjudged the best team for marching at the 29th Public Universities competition held at the USM campus on June 12.
This is the sixth time the UKM’s Reserve Officers’ contingent won the competition. The others were in 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2004.
The 101 member contingent beat those from Universiti Malaya, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Universiti Mlaysia Sabah, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu and Universiti Malaysia Perlis.
The Raja Muda of Perlis presented the award to Second Lt. Siti Hajar Mokter.
The UKM squad had a six day intensive training at USM under WO1 Encik Rahim Hashim.
