Group – BioBiz Innovation
INTRODUCTION
The BioBiz Innovation Research Group was newly established on 21 October 2011 to focus on business development work related bioproducts. The research group vision is to become a well-known innovation business agent that bridging biotechnology inventions and market applications that benefit communities. Thus, the group mission is to support demand-based biotechnology development as well as nurturing academic inventions. BioBiz Innovation core competencies are Demand-based Experiential Marketing, Business Database, and Research in Capitalizing Academic Inventions.
The main objectives of the group are:
- To be a major partner in the university effort to promote biotechnology inventions
- To provide faculty members and students with experiential and demand-based innovation partnership
- To provide university research teams with marketing research services
- To develop, promote and support biotechnology marketing
RESEARCH FOCUS
The research focus covers the following areas:
- Develop biotechnology inventions business database
- Identifying demanded products related to biotechnology
- Conduct marketing research for university biotechnology product concept
- Develop marketing plan for feasible biotechnology products
