It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Kuala Lumpur.

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre is honoured to host UKM Paediatric Airway Workshop. Paediatric airway surgery is a challenging field in otolaryngology practice. This is a two day course, designed to cover important aspects of airway management. The lectures are suitable for all ENT doctors, paediatric related professionals and medical officers on general aspects of paediatric airway diseases and its management. This workshop is augmented with live surgery as well as hands-on cadaveric dissection with close supervision by our distinguished teaching faculties on the various aspects of open and endoscopic surgical management. This workshop will be held at the UKM Medical Centre as we have adequate facilities in the microsurgical laboratory for this purpose. Both international and local speakers have adequate experience in managing paediatric airway cases. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Organising Committee members from UKM and MSOHNS society for their tireless effort and time spent to ensure a successful workshop as well as to all industries involved in this workshop. I sincerely hope that this course will benefit all the participants in theoretical knowledge and clinical skills in managing children with airway diseases.
