MESSAGE FROM THE COURSE DIRECTOR

I very much look forward to welcoming you to the Laryngeal and Phonosurgery Workshop organised by the Otorhinolaryngology Department of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre. The 3 days course will enable participants to learn and understand more about laryngeal disorders and the surgical treatments as well as the upper airway obstruction caused by the bilateral vocal fold immobility. Distinguished speakers from local who are well trained will share their knowledge and experience. The course incorporates lecture sessions, demonstration of office based injection laryngoplasty and laryngeal cadaveric hands-on to learn and practise various surgical treatments for laryngeal disorders. Participants also would have better under-standing of the anatomy of the larynx and the course of the recurrent laryngeal nerve by dissecting the laryngeal cadaver. At the end of the course, participants would have better perspectives in assessing and man-aging patients with laryngeal disorders.
