Selection and Admission Policy
- The admission policy is clearly described in the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (Graduate Studies) Act and the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (Graduate Studies) Regulations for Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Masters and Doctor of Philosophy Programs.
The selection process involves candidates taking an entrance exam to test knowledge and an interview to test character.
The entrance exam contains a total of 40 multiple choice questions. These questions test candidates in the underlying disease of ENT. These questions are screened at the departmental level.
The panel of interviewers consists of the head of the Department or program coordinator or Senior lecturer and a representative from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) to ensure transparency and no injustice in the selection.
[Candidates should meet all the above criteria and be prepared with basic knowledge, have good character and personality.]Preference is given to candidates who have experience in posting in the ORL-HNS division, surgery and have successfully completed the MRCS. The selection process needs to ensure that only suitable and capable candidates are selected. Results will be announced to candidates through Postgraduate Studies.
International candidates should have English language skills with an IELTS score of 7.0. Candidates must pass the “Conjoint Board” entrance examination or equivalent to the Level I Examination (for example MRCS level I, II and/or III), which is recognized by the “Conjoint Board”.
[Only candidates who meet all the criteria will be called for an interview session. Bahasa Malaysia fluency classes will be given to foreign students.]
