'From Mountain to the Reef'
The Edutourism Program at UKM's Living Labs is a ten days programme provides an insightful overview of various research niches, encompassing diverse ecosystems such as mountains (Fraser's Hill), lowlands (Botanical Garden UKM), freshwater environments (Tasik Chini), and marine settings (Mersing). The program delves into modules that cover essential aspects including flora, fauna, and the physical environments specific to each living lab's distinct ecosystem. Furthermore, it incorporates social work components, fostering engagement with local communities.
Through immersive trips and active participation, this program serves as a catalyst for enhancing education and awareness regarding nature and conservation efforts. By involving participants and collaborating with local communities, the Edutourism Program at UKM Living Lab not only strengthens environmental education but also contributes to the broader mission of promoting sustainable practices and conservation initiatives.
