Overview
The course will introduce and provide you on the knowledge of Malaysian tropical ecosystem. Participant will learn about the concept of nature heritage, sustainable development of nature conservation and the physical landscape and bio-diversity of Malaysia's tropical ecosystem. The course offers a total of four credits hour and participants will receive a certificate and academic trancript upon completion of the programme.
Objectives

Enable participants to understand better the natural heritage concept and observe the integrated conservation efforts for sustainability and eco-tourism.

Allow participants to experience at first hand and document visually various geological and biological heritage of Malaysia's environmental landscape.

Enable participants to explore the various conservation initiatives in Malaysia.
WEEK 1
Lecture series on intercultural, conservation, governance, heritage and biodiversity in Malaysia.
WEEK 2
Experiential learning to several traditional conservation sites.
WEEK 3
Experiential learning to integrated conservation sites.

Requirements and Eligibility
- Registered as a full-time student at home university.
- Have completed at least two academic semesters at home university.
- Have good English proficiency in both speaking and writing.
- Must agree to abide by the rules and regulations of UKM or placement provider.
- Agrees to be responsible for the costs incurred.
Application Procedures
- Contact your home International Office for internal selection.
- Nomination Form must be submitted by your respective home university.
- UKM will send application instructions to the nominated students.
- Final results will be notified to home university and selected students.
