International Women’s Day Celebration #PressForProgress

On 8th March 2018 (Thursday), International Women’s Day has been celebrated at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and officiated by Y.Bhg. Dato’ Sri Rohani Abdul Karim, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development. Theme for the celebration is Press for Progress. This theme has been chosen as response to  World Economic Forum Global Gender Gap Report which measured gender inequality. The report found that we are still 200 years away from gender parity in the four main themes studied which are Economic Participation and Opportunity, Educational Attainment, Health and Survival and Political Empowerment. Press for Progress is supposed to be a call for people to press forward without complacency, and make positive changes and move towards equality.
