Bachelor of Software Engineering with Honours (Multimedia System Development)
PROGRAMME SUMMARY
Students who enrolled in the Multimedia Systems Development Programme will gain knowledge in software engineering especially in the field of Multimedia Systems Development (focus on multimedia software production through the analysis, design, development and implementation of the system based on the software engineering principles), web and mobile programming, and software fundamentals. They will also be equipped with skills in communication, teamwork, leadership, interpersonal and entrepreneurial mindset. The career options for graduates in this programme range from multimedia software engineer, multimedia system administrator, games developer, digital media producer and multimedia systems analyst.
Programme Requirements
Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) APEL.A Certification Level 6 of the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF);
and
Obtained at least a Band 2.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for exams beginning in session 1 of 2021 OR a Band 2 for exams up to the year of 2020, depending on the validity period at the time of application;
and
Pass the exam or interview that the faculty has set up.

Applications for full time study programmes (STPM, Matriculation, STAM and Diploma/ Equivalent) must be submitted via Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education online application. Applications for studies in all the programmes offered are published in local newspapers between the month of January to April every year.

Life at Faculty
The Faculty of Information Science and Information Technology is a stimulating environment in which new ideas, experimental designs, and robust systems are plentiful.
Our teaching programmes are always among the top in Malaysia. We also enjoy strong links with industries, which helps to ensure that our research and teaching is well informed and relevant to the needs of society.
Life for undergraduate majors centers around the various educational computing facility which is housed in the faculty. Apart from the major academic courses, all undergraduate students will participate in various Special Interest Groups (SIGs), aiming to promote students in applying and fostering their skills dan knowledge to industries and communities.
These SIGs ranging from Intelligent Machines Club, Cyber Hack & Ethics to Video Innovation inculcate creativities and innovations of our students. In the final year of the four years of the undergraduate programs, students will embark on a final year project and five months of industrial attachment.
Life for postgraduate students will mainly focus on the three research centers within the faculty: the Center for Artificial Intelligence (CAIT), the Center for Software Technology & Management (SOFTAM), and the Center for Cyber Security (Siber). Students will belong to either of these research centers which support conducive and supportive research environments.
