The Ministry of Science, Technolgy and Innovation of Malaysia, together with Academy Sciences of Malaysia has successfully organized a Global Geopark Planning & Development Workshop titled Natural Heritage for Sustainable Development on 21st until 25th of August 2017.

Participants from all over the world such as Kiribati, Palestine, Uzbekistan, Myanmar, Thailand, Mongolia, Pakistan, India and others attended this 5 days workshop.

The aim of this workshop:

  • to provide insights on theories, strategies, element and issues related to Geopark management.
  • to enhance knowledge and skills in the various Geopark management approaches and techniques
  • to enhance awareness on Geopark management among the participants
