PREREQUISITE

  1. Participant has attended The UKM Graduate Centre Workshop Series 27/2015: SPSS for Beginners or should have basic knowledge in SPSS
  2. Participants should bring their own notebook, installed with SPSS version 22.
  3. Participants are encouraged to bring their own data sets.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

This one day workshop is designed to provide SPSS users with hands-on exposure to more intermediate statistical analysis in SPSS. The workshop will cover the following topics: scatterplot, correlation, simple regression, diagnostic checking, multiple regression, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and logistic regression.

 

BIODATA

WAN ROSMANIRA ISMAIL

Dr. Wan Rosmanira Ismail is a senior lecturer at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She obtained her PhD in Operational Research from Loughborough University, UK in the year 2000. Her research interests include mathematical modelling, scheduling and routing, timetabling, efficiency and multi criteria decision making. She has published several journal articles in the areas of Operational Research and a book on the inferential statistics.

FARIDATULAZNA AHMAD SHAHABUDDIN

Miss Faridatulazna Ahmad Shahabuddin is a senior lecturer at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology. She has a M.Sc of Science in Quality Management from University of Stirling, Scotland, UK and B.Sc in Statistictics from UKM. Her research interests are mainly in the area of Applied Statistical Modelling, Sampling, and Statistical Methods in Quality Improvement and Management. She also has published several journal articles and also published a book in statistical process control.

NORA MUDA

Dr Nora Muda holds a PhD degree in Bioinformatics from Univ. Sains Malaysia. She obtained her Masters and BSc degree in Statistics. Her deep interest to the field of statistics and biology, has led her into the field of bioinformatics, an area that combines the disciplines of statistics and biology. Her research interests include Computational Biology, Statistical Modeling and Robust Statistical Techniques. She has published several books in the topics of inferential statistics.
