DOMAIN & RESOLUTION

The SEACLID/CORDEX originally aimed to use a domain of 80E-145E and 15S-40N and a resolution of 36km. Sensitivity experiments were conducted using these domain and resolution. The domain encompasses the Tibetan Plateau at the northwestern corner of the domain. As experienced in the sensitivity experiments, the existence of Tibetan Plateau often created numerical instability in the simulation. Hence, the new domain under consideration is from 90E-145E and 15S-27N. Due to requirement to resolve many islands in the region, the resolution was also reduced to 25 km.
