Self Chemical Health Risk Assessment (SeCHRA) Form is one of the internal control measures in UKM to identify the chemical risks related to end-users (students, researchers, staff and others). SeCHRA Form is not a legal documentation, and the Department (Faculty/ Institute) still has to carry out the Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA) under Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standard of Exposure Chemical Hazardous to Health) Regulations 2000 (USECHH Regulations).
This SeCHRA Form can also be used as a laboratory reference to determine the risks and methods in handling hazardous chemicals in teaching and research laboratories. This assessment will help to reduce the exposure level of hazardous chemicals to users. Users should refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), chemical labels and work process documents to complete this SeCHRA Form. The users need to fill up both A and B sections.
