Solar electricity can also displace fossil fuel use with many environmental benefits. The energy involved in the manufacture of the panels can be quickly overtaken by the energy produced by the photovoltaic panels. One of the most attractive applications is the use of <span id=\"b398e19f-d381-41f3-93f4-1a44bda108fe\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"c6d3756a-51a8-4c78-8fdb-1c22426c9e4b\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"400689c7-f686-4b04-a5b1-72174f0b5153\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"f5c95f0a-51ac-4e5a-acdb-fc3cddd55f4a\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"4c220ae0-079f-4119-b844-5c5740d58416\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"7ebbde0e-320e-4fc9-bdf9-fe4e6dcc1265\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"e39a0c19-5d67-431b-8147-5083b05dc44b\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"e5ff56f0-689e-4b7f-bb77-2d98a7c19e1e\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"91b0a840-276a-4823-b777-6b084e2b15f5\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">photovoltaic<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> on buildings, commonly known as Building Integrated Photovoltaic or BIPV. Studies on BIPV include strategies for the long term cost reduction and innovative architectural integration in buildings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><strong>2.\u00a0Solar Hydrogen Production System<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Electrolysis is the most developed technology for producing hydrogen from water, which can be operated by means of solar energy. Hydrogen has been regarded as the future fuel. The product of combustion of hydrogen is water, which can be recycled to <span id=\"b87ff93b-d50a-4aaf-ab76-8b3de1510965\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"47b979a9-87a1-421b-b2ab-bd35e224c0c2\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"1c31024e-d067-4962-b181-aa192530e68b\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"c325394b-cda8-4c4e-b661-19d3615360a3\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"26bbe04f-3258-47e3-a4c7-13d3cce3bab8\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"3575420a-baab-4370-82c3-58b664b8b78e\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">produced<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> hydrogen by means of electrolysis. Hydrogen can be converted directly into electricity in fuel cells, modified IC engines run on hydrogen and power plants can use steam, which is produced in hydrogen steam generators, during peak load periods. Even airplanes are being developed to run on liquid hydrogen, which is especially advantageous because of its high energy content by weight. Hydrogen would be collected, stored and distributed both gaseous and liquid as a pollution free fuel that can be converted into other energy forms at high efficiencies. The main components are the <span id=\"f4917bd1-ee37-4c86-b7fd-36295385fa5d\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"dfc6e7ab-263f-4379-9831-e3222921f32b\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"a2fcd70e-9285-492c-80e6-fa264f116868\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"dcc7af43-2509-4cc7-a430-3a6009f8ca09\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"4594ee81-d9f3-41dc-8279-1df4a49c9fde\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"0ffa984d-f878-47ca-9b2a-36758b724812\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">photovoltaic<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> panel, the <span id=\"fe93d15c-50d2-4179-b28f-62f152d3b6ad\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"eaf04a69-6938-4a32-84f5-d89b94bce064\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"18ccd966-817b-42ce-8e28-9490ca218eb9\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"b25ff67e-c373-420d-87c6-f40d3028855a\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"cb9252a0-140a-4981-96c1-b24e264355ee\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"c8867ea3-2a29-499a-b404-a14c1c3a745e\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">energy storage<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> batteries, voltage regulator, <span id=\"1a5429b3-3083-4c4d-9b76-363c931eceef\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"89b6f89b-4135-499d-9457-72521638abb5\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"91772434-5c42-4713-9785-63a19449aa2e\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"1268ad91-d836-4ed4-919b-5ef88b1d7948\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"170e995d-0cc8-45fd-ba2b-de88e1aa2a5d\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"9451c185-9489-4764-98fc-2887e3ba9236\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">electrolyzer<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> and hydrogen storage tank.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/seri\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/SolarHydrogenProduction1.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-967\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/seri\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/SolarHydrogenProduction1.gif\" alt=\"SolarHydrogenProduction1\" width=\"240\" height=\"155\" \/><\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/seri\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/SolarHydrogenProduction2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-968\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ukm.my\/seri\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/SolarHydrogenProduction2.jpg\" alt=\"SolarHydrogenProduction2\" width=\"216\" height=\"156\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<header>\n<header>\n<h2 class=\"title\"><\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"title\"><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><strong>3.\u00a0Solar Hydrogen Eco House<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Energy systems of <span id=\"d25ddeb1-f47b-4fe0-ac36-d7fe9e03eedf\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"e28a7880-958f-4965-a242-ec8c89059c60\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"5f686dab-c2cf-4534-885f-484eae7e1000\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"f4176e14-186f-4477-a033-a4e31d4eb61a\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"4bc4d9a7-56ff-4c88-b608-916c62b25e93\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"7d003ef7-93d4-4f2d-9a32-b1f46db77f0f\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">future<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> will have to be cleaner and much more efficient, flexible, and reliable than they are today in order to ensure Malaysia\u2019s energy security and environmental viability. Hydrogen is a clean and sustainable form of energy that can be used in mobile and stationary applications and is the answer to satisfying many of our energy needs while reducing (and eventually eliminating) carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe, making up more that 90% of all matter. The solar hydrogen eco-house combines the low energy architectural features such shading, daylighting and passive air movements with a solar hydrogen production system. These combinations will pave way to a futuristic sustainable, environment friendly, and <span id=\"ae5c7598-a3fe-4c82-adff-1ff53492428b\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"89f6b5d9-5e56-4c98-b27c-a90d9307e541\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"4eda2c3b-2c81-4c2b-817f-c7726989f764\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"e3ec8a94-3b9b-4d9a-bdda-dbd5069e7bda\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"a2bb4387-34a8-4b43-b098-a19341d82719\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"131c12ba-349e-4d17-aa32-a423cd3cebef\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">bioclimatic<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> residential dwellings. Sunlight hits the photovoltaic panels, which convert solar energy into electricity. This electricity will be <span id=\"5aadd5fd-3051-4e3f-a9eb-d31e829f7b27\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"ef8981ed-c58c-4e51-a834-c48cad3546d5\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"d7a17a64-6cbb-4516-b6c4-d25745a0bb6b\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"19858f6a-e578-43c0-9f99-b73eac2870b5\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"2b5aa7de-46a4-4481-950a-05bcb959586a\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"bd41a7b7-15ba-4024-b6d5-03210f6672ec\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">use<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> to run an electrolyzer that splits water into hydrogen and oxygen. The oxygen gas is vented to the atmosphere and the hydrogen gas is stored in a storage tank. The hydrogen can be <span id=\"54d2af19-6ec0-44d0-8fe2-8078f80089df\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"9fddd001-58ee-4d8f-be4f-525bc9973363\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"f68f486e-6a5b-4c55-9a60-49d561aabd37\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"346f5552-c0af-491a-a65f-7902ad25e62d\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"a40ca222-2bdf-49ce-8080-0eed7b6ff784\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\"><span id=\"99eb991a-f095-4a26-a608-a1d8a1e37e2e\" class=\"GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark\">use<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> to run a fuel cell, cooking stove, and boiler for the absorption air conditioning system. It consists of solar PV array, inverter and pumping\/motor set. The PV array is built up of 28 PV modules arranged in four rows connected in parallel, each row containing seven modules connected in series.
