International Conference On Improving Efficiency And Effectiveness In Health Delivery Systems In Developing Countries
Kementerian Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi (MOSTI) Malaysia has received an invitation from Centre of Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre) for researchers, policy makers, and related government officials to participate in the “International Conference on Improving Efficiency And Effectiveness In Health Delivery Systems in Developing Countries: Research, Implementation and Policy Issues” on 21-23 November 2023 in Mauritius organized by NAM S&T Centre, New Delhi in collaboration with JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mauritius (JSSAHERM).
The topics that will be discussed during this workshop are as follows:
- Achieve universal health coverage, including financial risk protection;
- Access to quality essential healthcare services;
- Access to safe, effective, quality and affordable essential medicines and vaccines for all;
- Support research, development and universal access to affordable vaccines and medicines;
- Frame strategies to reduce mortality from non-communicable diseases and promote mental health;
- Fight communicable diseases;
- Increase health financing and support the health workforce in developing countries;
- Substantially reduce the number of deaths and illnesses from hazardous chemicals and air, water and soil pollution and contamination – Environmental Health; and
- Understand the role of natural products in health care systems.
Interested officers should send the application form (as in Appendix 2), as well as relevant supporting documents (MS Word format) to ungkuaida@mosti.gov.my and shafiqahshaherra@mosti.gov.my and copied to syamsida@mosti.gov.my no later than 12.00 noon, 13 October 2023 (Friday) for the purpose of screening and verification by MOSTI as the Focal Point of the NAM S&T Center in Malaysia.
Applications that do not receive any response within two weeks from the application closing date are considered unsuccessful. There is no notification for unsuccessful applications.
