Fellows Are Encouraged to Pursue a Research Project to Be Submitted for Publication and Presentation
Evaluation
Formative Assessments:
1. Fellows Are Required to Complete a Log Book and Audit of Their Performance
2. Fellows Are Required to Meet with The Course Director at Regular Intervals for Feedback
3. Fellows Must Demonstrate the Ability to Evaluate and Investigate Their Patients, to Appraise and Assimilate Scientific Evidence and To Apply This Knowledge to Patient Care
4. Fellows Must Demonstrate Interpersonal and Communication Skills that Result in The Effective Exchange of Information with Colleagues and Patients
Summative Assessments:
1. Fellows Must Pass the End-Of-Module and End-Of-Year Evaluations in Order to Successfully Complete the Module or Progress to The Following Year, Respectively
2. Fellows Who Have Successfully Completed the Final Evaluation in Their Chosen Neurology Modules Will Be Awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training (as per Module) by University Kebangsaan Malaysia
3. Applicable only To the 3-Year General Neurology Module: Fellows Who Have Successfully Completed the Final Evaluation May Request to Sit for The Exit Neurology Viva Voce Conducted in Conjunction with The Ministry of Health (kkm). Successful Candidates Will Be Awarded the Certificate of Completion of Subspecialty Training by Ministry of Health (malaysia).
NEUROLOGY: STROKE
CORE CURRICULUM
Introduction:
During the fellowship programme, the Clinical Fellow will be exposed to inpatient and outpatient care of stroke patients. All training and rotations are designed to cultivate basic competency and proficiency in stroke care
Goals and objectives:
To facilitate the development of subspecialty expertise in stroke care from evaluation to diagnosis to the management of stroke patients. This includes skill in the interview and examination of patients, knowledge of the appropriate laboratory and imaging investigations for diagnosis of stroke and its aetiology, knowledge of the differential diagnoses for the various clinical presentations of and expertise in the management of stroke

NEUROLOGY: CLINICAL ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY
CORE CURRICULUM
Introduction:
During the fellowship programme, the Clinical Fellow will be exposed to inpatient and outpatient patient care. All training and rotations are designed to cultivate basic competency and proficiency in electrophysiology.
Goals and objectives:
1. To facilitate the development of subspecialty expertise in neurophysiology from evaluation to diagnosis and management. This includes skill in the interview and examination of patients, knowledge of the appropriate laboratory and imaging investigations for disorders of peripheral nerve disorders, neuromuscular problems, muscle disorders, seizure and epilepsy disorders and its aetiology, knowledge of the differential diagnoses for the various clinical presentations of and expertise in the management.
2. To enhance skills of clinical electrophysiologic correlation in basic nerve conduction study, needle electromyography and advanced neurophysiology including evoked potential studies (SSEP, VEP, BAEP). Other important skills that will be covered during the course are interpreting electroencephalography, video telemetry and multiple sleep latency test techniques.
