Associate Prof. Dr Rahana Abd Rahman is Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist in Hospital Tunku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HCTM) specializing in Maternal & Fetal Medicine (MFM). She is the current head of MFM unit which comprises of 3 senior MFM Consultants and 2 MFM fellows in training. The unit has trained many obstetricians locally and internationally in MFM subspecialty. She obtained her PhD in Preeclampsia in 2018 from Monash University, Melbourne looking at the potential new treatment or prevention for the disease. Her other interests are in preterm birth, SLE in pregnancy and diabetes complicating pregnancy. She has published several papers on the use of Arabin pessary to prevent preterm birth, gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. Assoc. Prof. Dr Rahana Abd Rahman is also the current secretary for Perinatal Society of Malaysia (PSM) and Maternal and Neonatal Health Association of Malaysia (MAMANEH).
