Software engineering principles involves a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable and organised approach throughout its entire systems development life cycle. Our Bachelor of Software Engineering (Information Systems Development) programme is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the specification, development, implementation, testing, maintenance and evolution of software systems especially for the development of business and organizational-based information systems. The programme cultivates competent software engineers through strong fundamental knowledge in software development and project management, and hands-on practices of current practical approaches and technologies from the industry. The versatility of our graduates enables them to fit into various career opportunities including software engineers, systems or requirements analysts, software or systems designers, programmers, software testers and information systems executives. Graduates are also fundamentally equipped to explore the software engineering field more in-depth academically in relevant postgraduate degree programme.Â
- Possess fundamental knowledge, principles and skills relating to Software Engineering especially in the field of Information System Development. Â
- Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve problems by applying knowledge, principles and skills relating to Software Engineering especially in the field of Information System Development for lifelong learning. Â
- Are competent in applying appropriate methodologies, models and techniques that provide a basis for analysis, design, development, testing and implementation, evaluation, maintenance and documentation of a large scale software system. Â
