Introduction

Master of Engineering Microelectronic is a specialised program in the field of microelectronics for postgraduate studies. The program includes a variety of advanced courses related to the field of microelectronics and nanoelectronics. The courses offered are in line with latest development in the knowledge domain that meet the needs of the microelectronic industry. These courses are constantly improved so that it remains relevant to the latest development in science and technology. Syllabus has been developed taking into account the views and suggestions from various stakeholders including relevant industry. At the end of this program, graduates will be able to meet its obligations as trained engineers who have in-depth knowledge in the field of microelectronics.

    1. A Bachelor of Engineering degree with honours (CGPA 2.75 and above) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university OR;

    2. CGPA 2.50 – 2.74 with at least 1 year working experience in engineering field after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants

    3. CGPA 2.0 – 2.49 with at least 3 years working experience in engineering field after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants OR;

    4. A Bachelor of Science degree with honours (minimum CGPA 3.50) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university OR;

    5. A bachelor science degree with honours (CGPA 3.49 and below) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university with at least 3 years working experience in engineering or related fields after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants OR;

    6. minimum age of 30 years old at the date of the application

    7. pass Diploma in related field or other qualification equivalent to it recognised by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University’s Senate ;

    8. other equivalent qualification; AND

    9. Certificate of MQA APEL with MQF Level 7

For international candidates, requirements for English Language is minimum 550 (TOEFL) or 5.5 (IELTS).
