Data science is a multidisciplinary field of study that involves scientific methods, processes, and systems in extracting both explicit and implicit information from a variety of data structures. It combines the knowledge of mathematics and statistics, programming, and data analytics. This master’s program offers a variety of courses with an emphasis on data analytics. Students are free to choose from three different learning modules: Data Computing, Data Analytics, and Finance and business Analytics to match their interests and career paths. The program aims to produce knowledgeable, ethical, and competitive graduates who can contribute to the nations.

A Bachelor’s degree at least a CGPA of 2.75 or its equivalent as accepted by the UKM Senate. OR;
Bachelor of Science Degree or other qualification equivalent, with a CGPA of 2.50 – 2.74, subject to a minimum of one year of working experience in a related field. OR;
Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian government as equivalent to the above requirements. AND;
5.5 for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Band 3 for the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
