Pandora-Asia Network Workshop, Seoul, Korea

Pandora Asia-Network meeting has been held in Seoul, Korea on 7-8 November 2022

PAN groups will operate and maintain the Pandora spectrometer instruments in Asia and facilitate the application of GEMS data on air pollution. It will produce sound scientific information to support Asian governments in combating air pollution.

More specifically, it will implement:

1) Pandora site survey and installation in Asian country within GEMS scan area

2) Establishment and operation of PAN and GEMS data collection and processing system

3) Development and improvement of Pandora retrieval algorithm (NO2, SO2, HCHO, AOD)

4) GEMS data quality control and development of data utilization technology

5) Application of remote sensing data to air quality analysis and policy making

6) Conducting scientific research on regional air pollution in Asia and providing technical advice on air pollution mitigation

7) Conducting field campaigns for scientific investigation of specific pollution issues in Asia

8)  Education and training for Pandora operation and GEMS data application
