Industry Office
HEJIM is referred to as the department to liaise with industry and community partners of UKM. It stands for “Hal Ehwal Jaringan Industri dan Masyarakat” or Industry & Community Partnerships Affairs in English.
In establishing strategic engagement partnerships with diverse external stakeholders across research, education and service, HEJIM works collaboratively with all internal stakeholders such as faculties, research insitutes, centres of excellence and other offices within the university.
As an example, in research matters, HEJIM cooperates with the Pusat Pengurusan Penyelidikan dan Instrumentasi as well as the faculties/institutes. For teaching & learning, HEJIM collaborates with CITRA UKM, Pusat Karier Siswa, Pusat Pembangunan Akademik and Pusat Pengurusan Siswazah. For service and volunteerism, HEJIM has established strong collaborative links with Pusat Pembangunan Mahasiswa dan Alumni, as well the various residential colleges and student organisations.
The major policy-related and operational decisions of PHI are made at the HEJIM Management Meeting chaired by DVC HEJIM. The ensuing decisions are made known to PHI officers through monthly Staff Meetings. Matters pertaining to policy decided by the higher governing body are disseminated and feedback can be channeled to the MKB meetings.
HEJIM through UCTC UKM and PHI promote community engagement amongst community around Bangi through the platform provided by Bangi Industry Administrative Association (BIAA) and Persatuan Penduduk Bandar Baru Bangi (Bangiku).The major policy-related and operational decisions are made at the HEJIM Management Meeting chaired by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Industry & Community Partnerships).
Matters pertaining to policy decided by the higher governing body are disseminated and feedback can be channeled to the MKB meetings.
PHI arranges for bi-monthly or quarterly Staff Meeting to discuss administrative and operational matters.
