Nippon Paint (M) Sdn Bhd

Nippon Paint Malaysia was incorporated in 1967 and primarily focused on producing and selling paints. From an initial sales revenue of less than RM4m half a century ago, the organisation has effectively evolved from a challenger brand to be Malaysia’s No. 1 paint brand in 2008. Today, with a sales revenue of approximately RM1b, Nippon Paint Malaysia had positioned itself as a clear market leader providing innovative solutions to its customers.

Dominating the Malaysian paint and coating markets, Nippon Paint currently enjoys more than 50% market share in the nation’s architectural sub-segment and approximately 40% market share in the industrial sub-segment. Our goal is to be the market leader in both the coatings and construction industries within the next 5 years.  Hence, hour business tagline, the “Total Coating & Construction Solutions” provider.

Since 2008, Nippon Paint Malaysia took the paint and coatings market leadership through 2 key pillars of innovation – brand and product. In order for us to sustain our market leadership and to continuously strive for dominance, we have placed people capability building as a key strategy in our strategic business playbook.
