All students who are registered and have an active/registered status are eligible to get the advantages stipulated in the Student Medical Scheme. This scheme is applicable to students enrolled at the Center for Shaping Advanced & Professional Education under the Executive program and Long-Distance Continuing Program (PBJJ) only.
Apart from students as above, you are advised to contact and deal with the UKM Health Center (PKU) at 03-8921 5087 or email pkesihatan@ukm.edu.my or refer to the PKU website at this link http://www.ukm.my/pusatkesihatan/.
All students with an active / registered status are eligible to receive treatment at PKU throughout their studies at UKM. You are advised to bring your student matric card throughout your dealings at PKU.

Letter of Guarantee is a letter that will be issued by the institution (UKMShape) if the student needs to get special treatment at the Hospital or is admitted to the ward for medical purposes / treatment. The Letter of Guarantee is subject to the decision / permission of the UKM Health Center.
For the above purposes, you are requested to contact the UKMCare division via email ukmcare@ukm.edu.my or to the UKMCare Counter, UKMShape, The National University of Malaysia.
The above applies only to students enrolled at the Center for Shaping Advanced & Professional Education under the Executive program and Long-Distance Continuing Program (PBJJ) only.

Note:

  1. The Letter of Guarantee will not be issued immediately after the application is made by the student because the UKMCare division needs to seek the opinion and judgment of the Medical Officer from the UKM University Health Centre (PKU). If the Medical Officer approves the student’s application, then the Guarantee Letter will be issued.

  1. Students who wish to apply for a Letter of Guarantee are advised to submit a copy of the health report that has been verified by a Medical Officer from the relevant Clinic or Hospital.

  1. If the student does not have any health report, the student is advised to meet with the UKM PKU Medical Officer to obtain approval and confirmation from the relevant officer. A cover letter will be given to students who apply.
