Best Poster Award: Dr Chin Siok Fong

Congratulations to Dr Chin Siok Fong who won the “Best Poster Award” during the International Proteomics Conference 2017: Proteomics in Biotechnology & Life Sciences in conjunction with the 4th Conference of Asia Oceania Agricultural Proteomics Organization held at the Kuala Lumpur Teaching Centre (UNMC), Chulan Tower from 15th — 17th August 2017.

Dr Chin presented the results of her work in a poster with the title “Leucine-rich alpha-2-glycoprotein 1 (LRG1) in Colorectal Cancer: A Real Potential Biomarker?”. Quantitative proteomics by SWATH-MS was highlighted in identifying LRG1 as the protein of interest in the sera of CRC patients with subsequent functional analyses confirming the role of this protein in the pathogenesis of CRC.

The award comes with the privilege of publishing a feature paper in the ESCI-indexed “Proteomes” journal free of charge. Congratulations Dr Chin!
