Congratulations – Andri Dauni

1 October 2023 | Congratulations! Our very own UMBI Science Officer, Mr. Andri Dauni has secured the 1st place in the Half Marathon Men Malaysian Veteran category at the prestigious running event in Malaysia, the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2023. With total timing of 01:23:26, his overall ranking of 17th out of 12,552 participants in the half marathon category showcases his remarkable skill and determination.

Over 40,000 runners descended on Dataran Merdeka over the weekend to participate in the 15th edition of the KLSCM. KLSCM 2023 was the first time the race operated with the recognition from World Athletics as a Road Race Label event, making it the only distance running event in Malaysia accorded that status.

The institute is indeed very proud of his outstanding performance. It takes a great deal of dedication, training, and perseverance to achieve such high honors in a competitive event.
