Ucapan Tahniah – Mr. Khoo Tze Sean

22 March 2024 | Congratulations to Mr. Khoo Tze Sean, a dedicated UMBI student, on the successful completion of his PhD final presentation during RUS Session No.9/2024 earlier this morning.

Mr. Khoo presented his research titled “Elucidating The Methylation and Functional Changes Resulting from Hyperglycemic Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSC) Reprogramming,” which was later summarized by Associate Professor Dr. Nor Azian Abdul Murad, his main supervisor. Mr. Khoo was also under the co-supervision of Professor Datuk Dr. A Rahman A Jamal. The presence of industry representatives, including Mr. Zahrein Redza, the Director of Stemlife Berhad and Mr. James. Then, the Managing Director of Cryocord Sdn Bhd, highlighted the practical implications of Mr. Khoo’s research.

Notably, Mr. Khoo has secured the Merck Rising Star Award and achieved 3rd place in the YSN-ASM Chrysalis Award during his PhD journey. As Mr. Khoo embarks on the thesis writing and viva presentation phase, we extend our best wishes for his continued success. May he complete his studies with flying colors, showcasing the depth of his knowledge and the excellence that has marked his academic journey.
